We Look Great for 50!

50th LogoLakeside Congregation for Reform Judaism is over fifty years old, founded in Highland Park, Illinois, a Chicago North Shore community as a Reform congregation. Over the years, it has gained a reputation as a place of welcome for all types of worshipping individuals and families including those who have come from Orthodox and Conservative backgrounds, intermarried couples as well as Reform Jews. Like most Reform congregations, it has evolved into “mainstream” Reform Judaism. The Board of Directors has always maintained a goal of approximately four hundred families to preserve the warm, close-knit atmosphere and welcoming style that allows all members to not only know the rabbi, cantor, educational director and staff, but to be close to each other and to share the wide range of activities we offer.
