Maot Chitim of Great Chicago has been in existence since 1908. This year, they are celebrating 100 years of helping their fellow Jews celebrate the holidays in a traditional and dignified manner. Hundreds and hundreds of volunteers get together twice a year – for Passover and Rosh Hashanah – to pack and deliver food packages to thousands of needy Jews in our community.
This organization performs a service to a segment of the Jewish community that goes unnoticed and desperately needs help. This year, they are asking for your help to pack and deliver their food packages, or to provide financial support. To volunteer, please contact their volunteer coordinator at volunteer@maotchitim.org.
