Mitzvah Day Projects for Sunday, May 2, 2010
1. LifeSource Blood Drive: Donate blood to save lives.
2. Walk with Israel: Help celebrate Israel solidarity with our North Shore community.
3. Heller Nature Center: Help clear buckthorn and burn a brushpile from the trails.
4. PADS Meals: Help prepare bag lunches to be distributed at homeless shelters.
5. Project Linus: Create handmade blankets to be distributed to children in the Chicago area.
6. Habitat for Humanity of Lake County: We need 12 participants to participate in a special project.
7. Children's book and video drive: Collect, bag, and deliver gently used children's books, videos, and dvd's for children in the Chicago metropolitan area.
8. Beth Emet Baked Goods Drop-Off: Uncut baked goods, home baked in disposable pans (no pans will be returned) or store bought items will be delivered to Beth Emet.
9. Gidwitz Center: The Lakeside Choir will perform Jewish music and showtunes. All are welcome to join the singing.
10. Women's Shelter Suitcases: Bring in gently used luggage to be distributed at local women's shelters.
11. The Ark Resale Shop: We need 10 people to work at the 3345 N. Lincoln Ave. location.
12. Prayer Book Nook: Help organize Lakeside's Prayer book closet.

A.) PARTICIPANTS
If family members are participating in separate projects, each family member should complete a separate registration form which can be obtained at the Lakeside office. Photocopies are acceptable.

We would like to contribute one or more of the following items to the Registration Brunch by bringing:

1 doz. (12 ) Donuts
Coffee Cake
1 Box Granola Bars
2 Containers Cream Cheese
1 Container of Fruit
1 gal. Orange Juice
1 gal. Milk
Enclosed is our tax deductible contribution to help defray the cost of Mitzvah Day. (Please make checks payable to Lakeside Congregation.)

Every effort will be made to give all participants their first choice project.
However, due to limits on some projects, this will not always be possible.
Register early to avoid disappointment! You will receive confirmation of
your project assignment. You may participate in several projects, for example,
PADS, donating blood, and bring baked goods for the Beth Emet Food Pantry.
